What is Business Insurance?
Business insurance is a generic term that refers to all the different types of insurance designed to protect a business. Since no two businesses are alike, no two coverages are alike. Why do I need Business Insurance?
Let's face it business insurance is a smart thing to have. It protects you, your customers and your clients from your mistakes, errors and accidents. We all know that S#@! happens.
Business insurance allows you to walk around knowing that if something happens someone has your back. You don’t have to keep millions of dollars in your bank account in case you injure someone or damage their property, let the insurance company do that.
On top of all of this, Business insurance makes you seem more legit and professional to potential clients. I mean let’s be honest, If you had to choose between working with someone who was responsible, insured and all of their ducks in a row and someone who was uninsured and flying by the seat of their pants, who would you want to work with?
Is Business Insurance required by law?
That depends. Certain states require you to carry general liability insurance to legally operate your business. A side note: even if the states don’t require insurance, it is a smart financial decision to have it.
